A normal healthy nail is firm and flexible and appears to be slightly pink in colour. Its surface is soft, arched and unspotted, without any hollows.
.Keep nails clean and dry
.Cut nails straight with a slightly rounded tip of a similar shape to the cuticle
.Always use sharp clippers or scissors and finish shape with an emery board and buff
.Do not bite your nails or your cuticles
.Do not dig out ingrown nail
.Always have nail irregularities, such as: swelling, pain and colour changes checked out
.Allow your nails to 'breathe' for a day or two between applying colour
.Massage your nails and cuticles with warm oils
.Minimise use of nail polish remover, as this dries out the nails
.Use nail creams to keep the nails and cuticles in great condition
